The primary purpose of this a Planning & Control Analyst is to provide complex data analysis for the RVP, research and develop systems/procedures to reduce cost, complete special multi-disciplinary projects as assigned.

Supports RVP with analytics for the entire division
Identifies cost saving opportunities and works closely with the operations team to strategize improvement plans. Performs analysis to determine the most effective option and presents findings/recommendations to management
Collects key performance data from division facilities using e-mail, Workbrain, WMS and other systems. Identifies and elevates non-routine situations. Distributes to upper management for further analysis and processing
Guides stakeholders through the process of specifying system requirements
Develops custom Access databases to meet user needs. Adheres to accepted software development principles
Creates studies and ad-hoc reports as needed using Excel and Access
Researches and improves procedures and systems for tracking discipline, productivity and attendance according to company/union policies
Explores the capabilities of available corporate systems so division facilities can better utilize those systems. Learns and applies new system knowledge as necessary
Identifies and undertakes projects to reduce administrative burden on divisional facilities. Sees project from beginning to resolution and recommends the most effective resolution to management
Reviews data collection procedures and, wherever possible, implements time-saving improvements and single-source data retrieval
Creates and updates contingency procedures to ensure reporting continuity in the absence of any individual responsible for submitting data
Additional Responsibilities
Troubleshoots problematic Access databases and Excel spreadsheets for all division facilities across all departments
Facilitates positive cross-departmental relationships by assisting in other projects as time allows
Stays current with operations-related company and industry developments
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
3 to 5 years of relative experience
Knowledge of warehouse systems, accounting, payroll, database concepts.
Exceptional skills/knowledge with Excel, Access, SQL, Visual Basic required. Experience with WorkBrain, WMS and Hyperion a plus
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to multi-task
Strong ability to analyze large datasets, ability to translate analysis into actionable goals
Ability to present and explain data and action plans to senior executives; strong presentation experience
Must reside on the island or able to finance your own relocation - NO RELOCATION BENEFITS OFFERED
