A pool technician ensures the safety of all Guests, providing a safe and fun environment at all Pool locations by maintaining water quality and cleanliness. Partners with Maintenance and Custodial to meet the needs of Guests by providing exemplary Guest Service at various Recreation locations.
Responsibilities
Ensure the safety of Guests, may be a first responder to emergency situations Must be able to understand and measure pool water quality requirements; work with chemicals to assist with upkeep of pool water and cleanliness Meeting and greeting pool Guests Clearing pool deck of used towels, lifejackets, trash, vacuuming pool, and water quality readings Must be mechanically inclined; verifying the equipment in the pump room is functioning correctly, ability to work in a loud environment Partner with Engineering/Maintenance regarding pump maintenance Enforce policies, rules and regulations of the Recreation locations
Requirements
Must pass swim test
Upon successful completion of training become Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certified
Strong written and verbal communication skills able to positively engage with Guests, team members and management
Must be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
Responsible and mature
Energetic and comfortable giving and taking feedback
Ability to work well under pressure
This role is Full-Time and requires full availability seven (7) days a week for any shift, including nights and holidays
Additional Qualifications
Previous experience in a Recreation or Resort environment
Previous pool chemist or pool technician experience
Knowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
