Youth Activities Counselor- Part Time, Aulani- A Disney Resort & Spa

Facilitate fun and engaging programs and activities for children (ages 3-10), tweens (ages 11-13), teens (ages 13-17), handle registration/check-in/check-out functions for the Youth Activities areas. See to the safety and security of all children participating in Youth Activities.
Responsibilities
Be available, friendly and Guest-Service oriented at all times Adhere to all rules and regulations governing operations Organize and oversee safe enjoyable programs and activities for all ages. Provide registration/check-in/check-out and secured programming in Youth Activities spaces at Disney's Aulani Resort. Assist in overall operation of programs, giving breaks to Youth Activities Cast for all ages as necessary Keep Youth Activities spaces clean, safe and tidy during operating hours. Clean and sanitize Youth Activities spaces and equipment before, during and after operating hours. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines for meals within the Youth spaces. Act as mentor for new Cast Members. Assist in recreational activities at Disney's Aulani Resort as scheduled (may include pool side rentals and instruction, community hall monitoring, and beach side games)
Requirements
Minimum two years recent work experience working with children in a recreational, day care, or camp setting
Must be able to command the attention of large groups of children
Schooling in recreation, education, or related field of study
Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills; detail oriented; customer-service oriented
Relates well to audiences of all ages and sizes
Additional Qualifications
Certification in Adult and Child CPR; Certificate in administering basic first aid
Experience working with special needs children a plus
Teaching Certification
Ability to speak Japanese preferred
Bilingual or multilingual abilities a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
