_NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:_ This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
_LOCATION:_ Military Personnel Office (G1), Joint Forces Headquarters-Hawaii Army National Guard, Kapolei, Hawaii.
_RECRUITMENT AREA:_ Present enlisted members of the US Armed Forces within the State of Hawaii.

_SUMMARY OF DUTIES:_
The purpose of this position is to review and process procedural and routine military human resources transactions submitted to the MILPO by lower echelons.
Performs detailed regulatory and procedural review, and processes a variety of routine military human resource transactions which may include but are not limited to: accessions, promotions, transfers, boards, incentives, training, and personal recognition of enlisted and officer personnel in the National Guard.
Reviews files identified for discharge.
Receives documentation on military personnel transactions from lower echelons.
Participates in unit Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) for those units whose service members are being mobilized to active duty.

_GENERAL
Experience:_ Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.
_SPECIALIZED
Experience:_ Must have at least 6 months experience, education or training that provided knowledge of general office work which may include but is not limited to: answering telephones, receiving and distributing mail and maintaining records. Experience following oral or written instructions to accomplish work. Experience establishing and retrieving files and information. Experience using common computer software designed for word processing.
_MILITARY TECHNICIAN COMPATIBILITY:_ Prior to placement in this position, the selected applicant must be assigned to a valid position in the unit of employment, and be assigned to a valid position, in any unit in 42A.

a. Situations of inversion of military rank are not permitted, i.e., a military technician may not be militarily senior to his or her full-time supervisor.
b. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted only after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Hawaii National Guard.
