This position is responsible for leading the Sales and Services team, developing and executing the sales strategy for groups and international leisure channels for the Aulani Resort. This would include overseeing the sales efforts for the following resorts market segments: Group, Leisure Transient, Corporate, Wholesalers, OTAs, etc.in addition to lead generation and conversion. The Sales and Services Director manages all day-to-day activities related to the Sales and Services functions with a focus on building long-term customer relationships that enable achievements of hotels Sales and Services objectives and providing day-to-day leadership for a team of 17 cast and 6 direct reports. In addition, the Sales and Services Director is responsible for working closely with key areas and partners such as Revenue Management, Pricing, TIS, Legal, HCVB, in providing information and guidance on market changes in overall market information.
# Responsibilities
Develops, implements and sustains aggressive sales solicitation program focused on increasing business in areas of Resort Sales, DCE and Weddings
Assist with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external for all markets and channels
Monitors all day-to-day activities of sales direct reports
Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and or close of business
Executes and supports the operational aspects of booking business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
Partner with internal sales channel leaders domestic and international to promote and confirms sales to the Aulani Resort
Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implements strategy to achieve financial goals
Review sales and catering client satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement
Displays leadership and client hospitality, exemplifies customer service and creates a positive example for client relations
Interacts with clients to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
Meets with clients to obtain feedback on quality of product (e.g., rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage) services level, execution against contract and overall satisfaction
Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service
Observes service behaviors of Cast and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers
Incorporates guest satisfaction as a component of department meetings with a focus on continuous improvement
Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building relationships and loyalty to Disney Meetings
Gains understanding of the property's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution
Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
Works collaboratively with off property sales channels to ensure the property needs are being achieved and sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative
Attends customer events, tradeshows, and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships
Interviews and hires management and hourly Cast with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the operation
Develops, implements and maintains a department orientation program for cast members to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job
Utilizes all available on-the-job training tools for cast members
# Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years executive level Group & Convention sales experience or equivalent
Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to define clear vision and motivate others to achieve goals
Demonstrated ability to inspire, drive enthusiasm and teamwork with a commitment to excellence
Demonstrated ability to manage and integrate Guest, Cast and business goals to produce great results
Proven record of savvy business judgment along with the mental agility and flexibility required in a dynamic company
Demonstrated business acumen with exceptional strategic thinking and financial skills
Proven senior sales leadership responsibility within a high-profile, well respected brand
Proven ability to build strategic alliances/relationships
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Disciplined organizational skills in all aspects of job performance with strong attention to detail
An experienced motivator skilled in broadly influencing internal and external stakeholders and effectively forging partnerships

# Required Education
2 year degree from accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years of experience in sales and marketing related special area.
4 year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
